Monaco can be geographically divided into several most favorite tourists destinations: Monaco-Ville, Monte-Carlo, La Condamine, and Fontvieille. Visiting Monaco-Ville, pay the attention that the majority of the sights are concentrated there. Oceanographic Museum suggests the travelers different displays, including the things brought from the numerous expeditions of Albert I. There are skeletons of whales, which attract the attention of all the visitors. Downstairs there is a regular Aquarium, interesting both for kids and adults. Monaco Cathedral is another tourists’ favorite sight. This cathedral was built in 1875. It was the resting place of Princess Grace of Monaco. Famous Prince's Palace was built on the site of the 13th-century fortress. Among the exhibits of the palace are the Hercule Gallery and the main courtyard, the Palatine Chapel, the Mirror Gallery, the Louis XV-style Red Room, the Blue Room and the Throne Room. For the visitors the palace is open between June and October. If the flag is raised over the palace it means that the prince is present. Don’t waste time and make photos in the park near the palace.
Monte-Carlo is an oasis for gamblers, for those who are looking for the adventures. The famous casino was built in 1878; the building is the prototype of the famous Paris Opera. The tourists watch the rich people entering the casino. The celebrities and millionaires are followed to the private salons, so that nobody can disturb them. Many tourists prefer to sunbathe on the small cozy Lavrotto beach near the city center. La Condamine is famous for its Jardin Gardens. They are built on the side of the rock that’s why the surrounding sceneries are very beautiful. Unique cactus collection is a real pride of the gardens. The walk along the paths of the gardens can become a perfect way of relaxation after a hard day. Another must-see of this area is Prehistoric Anthropology Museum, which displays open the visitors the remains of many pre-historic human beings, describes the history of the Monaco civilization. Coming to La Condamine with children it is worth visiting Zoological Gardens famous for its different species of native African plants and animals.
A trip to Monaco would be incomplete without a travel to Fontvieille. This area can boast having various sights interesting for the tourists. Being involved into a car-collection hobby, do not loose the opportunity to go on an excursion to Museum of Antique Automobiles, where the collection of 85 vintage cars is displayed. After visiting the museum leave some time to walk in the beautiful rose garden located by the sea. The garden was named after Princess Grace Kelly – one the most favorite royal persons in the country.
